19th Annual OMBAC Classic Longboard Surfing Contest
The contest is an opportunity for surfers and their vintage surfboards to gather for a nostalgic competition that has become more of an event than a contest. All contestants surf on 1969 or older longboards, 9′ or longer, with no leash. Separate Open and Menehune (Youth 16 and under) divisions compete in double-elimination heats for trophies and prizes. Every contestants will receive a t-shirt and refreshments. T-shirts and other OMBAC surfwear will be available for purchase at the contest.

Entry fee: still $25 for pre-registration after all these years, $35 registration on contest day.
Spectators are encouraged to view this event from the pier that provides them with a “birds eye” view.
